To make it easy for you ALL the items listed on this page are guaranteed to work on induction cookers. About induction cookers: Induction hobs are made from smooth, ceramic glass, the heat coming from a magnetic induction coil which heats the cookware but not the cooking surface. The heat from the cookware is transferred to the food. Pans suitable for this type of hob must be made from magnetisable metal such as cast iron or steel. Pure aluminium or copper pans will not work with this type of hob unless the base is bonded with a magnetic metal. If you have exisiting stainless steel cookware it may still not work due to the amount of ferous metal wthin the construction of the pan, essentially before the advent of readily available induction cookers manufactuers were able to produce cheaper quality pans with less ferous metal, therfore whilst they may look no different to newer pans they may not work. The best way to check is to try and stick a magnet to the base of your pan, if the magnet sticks the pan will work. |
